Women tend to generate higher revenue with one-third less capital than men. This is the very reason OPAC WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CENTER, GHANA is committing to train ten (10) unemployed women and establish them with seed capital in Kumasi.
OWEC Ghana believes that women especially those in Ghana have the rights, privileges, opportunities and voice to cause the positive changes they want. But the situation will change only when women as individuals are ready to change from within: having a new mindset and attitude towards life.
According the Executive Director of Owec Ghana, Ms Comfort OpokuAnimah, these unemployed women will be seletcted from Kumasi Metropolis, the surrounding communities such as Bremang, Suame, Kronon, Bohyen and Tafo.
As part of the packages to invest in our women, they will be given seed capital to establish their businesses. Their startups will be monitored and nurtured by OWEC Ghana to make sure they have sustainable businesses to improve their lives and the people around them. She said this during the launch of their new project #SaveMyLife Project which seeks to train young women in the Ashanti Region.
